Shaughnessy to join CLNS next Monday

July 29, 2010

You have seen his face on ESPN shows like Jim Rome is Burning. You have read his work in the Boston Globe and ESPN Magazine. And now you’re going to hear his voice Monday night at 9pm on The Celtics Late Night Show.

As promised at the end of the season, we are working very hard at CLNS to bring you the best guests out there. Shaughnessy, who is looked upon as one of the top writers in the Boston area, will just add to the list of fantastic guest we have already had on the show.

Dan Shaughnessy has been a beat writer covering the Celtics at the Boston Globe for over 20 years now. He has appeared on programs like Jim Rome is Burning, Globe 10.0 on NESN, and many more. We are truly honored that Dan has agreed to attach his name to The Celtics Late Night Show.

We hope that you will be tuning in Monday night at 9pm to hear what Dan has to say about the Celtics offseason, the three amigos in Miami, and much much more. You can listen to show live on our listen live page. We will also have that chat room open for the entire show. So sit back, crack a cold one, and listen to one of the most intelligent men covering the NBA today.

Get your questions in for NBA’er Maurice Ager

July 6, 2010

This summer we have been busy trying to schedule top notch guest for our listeners of the Celtics Late Night Show. So far we have two guests confirmed for the month of July, both from the Maine Red Claws.

The first is former Michigan State Spartan and New Jersey Nets guard, and current Maine Red Claws guard, Maurice Ager. Ager will be joining us on July 12th, this coming Monday. He will be discussing his future plans, the Red Claws organization, and his newly established production company Ager Music.

As always we want to get Celtics nation involved with this edition of the show. With that being said we are going to open up Brandon and Nick’s Mailbag for your questions. Have you ever wondered what life is like as an NBA player? Have you wondered about the differences between the NBA and NBDL? Well this is your time to ask question like these to a guy who has played at all levels. Send in your questions by clicking the link here.

We hope you enjoy the show on Monday and look forward to having you join us for future shows!

J.E. Skeet Talked Celtics, NBA Draft and More Last Night

June 22, 2010

Last night’s show was terrific. After the disappointing finals lost, Celtics fans needed to regroup. Monday night’s show helped Celtics-Nation to recuperate. We had a huge listener-ship– thanks to every one for tuning in. Brandon and I talk Scotty off “the ledge” and he returned to do the final (and craziest) Torture Chamber of the year.

WARNING– The Torture Chamber contains wildly foul language. If you don’t like ref bashing, Laker-bashing, LeBron-bashing OR foul language, skip the Scottish Torture Chamber this week.

Kwapt called in with a pre-draft update. It was great to hear from Kwapt. Jeff Garcia from Project Spurs was lurking around the chat room– fun to have Jeff around. All the regulars were here and it just felt great to talk hoops with great friends.

J.E. Skeets joined us and our chat was phenomenal.

The only voice missing from this show was that New England accent. Brandon Paul was unable to be live with us, on air, as he was suffering from kidney stones (ouch). He was kind enough to host the chat. Brandon Ribak from NBA Primetime was our guest co-host and he certainly wasn’t shy. He ripped into the Scotsmen and myself for doing some hardcore LeBron James bashing.

Check out the full episode here.

The season may be over but the CLNS off-season is just beginning.
We are coming to you this evening, back to our normally scheduled weekly broadcast. We will be recapping the NBA Finals, allowing callers to vent their frustrations from the finals loss and we have pulled Scottish Mike off the ledge. He will be back this week with a very emotionally charged version of the Scottish Torture Chamber.
Skeets will be joining us at around 9:30 pm to recap the 2010 NBA season. We’ve had Skeets’ partner on TBJ, Tas Melas, on the show and we expect no less from Skeets. Skeets was also the brains behind Yahoo Sports blog “Ball Don’t Lie” for a long period of time. You can expect humorous knowledge to dominate this episode.
As always, we will be taking your calls all evening.
