Tas Melas to talk hoops on CLNS tomorrow night

September 5, 2010

“Meet in the trap, it’s going down. Meet me in the mall, it’s going down. Meet me in the club, it’s going down. Anywhere you meet me guaranteed it’s going down.” – Young Joc

If I can guarantee one thing that’s going to happen in the next 24 hours or so, it is this: It’s going to be going down tomorrow night at 9pm on The Celtics Late Night Show. After already confirming Tim Povtak from AOL FanHouse earlier this week, we just confirmed that the one and only Tas Melas from The Basketball Jones will also be joining us for what is sure to be a crazy edition of The Celtics Late Night Show.

As a host of the show, I can truly tell you this episode will qualify for the second or third most excited I’ve ever been to host a show. We’re bringing in the author of this past week’s most controversial Celtics article, as well as one of the most humorous and knowledgeable NBA personalities out there, all in one show!  As the person responsible for scheduling guests, it’s safe to say my ego is pretty high right now.

If all goes as planned, Tim Povtak will join us around 9:15 to discuss his most recent article, in which he quoted the Celtics as being “scared to death” of the Miami Heat. We will kindly question Tim on his choice of words in the article, as well as get his take on everything going on in both Miami and Boston.

We also plan on making this show in particular more “NBA related” rather than “Celtics related”. Last week A. Sherrod Blakely helped us run through the list of questions surrounding the Celtics upcoming season, and this week we’ll be bringing in a non-biased source in Tas Melas to breakdown the upcoming NBA season. We’ll get his take on what’s going to go down in the Eastern Conference, what’s going to happen in Miami, and much more.

As always, we’ll also be taking your calls to discuss all the happenings in Celtics Nation and the NBA. Call us at 877-245-6136. You can also submit questions for either guests by sending them to our mailbag.

CLNS is back tomorrow night at 9pm!

August 29, 2010

Listen/Chat Live

After a two-week hiatus, The Celtics Late Night Show will be back tomorrow night (Monday) at 9pm EST. We will be joined by A. Sherrod Blakely from Comcast Sports Net New England. Since we last talked a lot has gone down in Celtics Nation (I just have to brainstorm all of it before tomorrow night). I’m sure we’ll talk a little Shaq, a little roster talk, and we may even start some preseason predictions.

Of couse, we’re not just going to be talking between ourselves and Sherrod, even I get sick of hearing Nick’s voice sometimes. So that means that we’re going to need YOU to call in! The phone lines will be open once we let Sherrod off the hook, and will stay open as long as the calls are coming in.

Call us toll free at (877)-245-6136

The Celtics Late Night Show would also like to ask a big favor from all our listeners. Today, we created a quick ten questions survey in hopes of helping us make the show better and more enjoyable for you. If you could take five minutes out of your time to take the survey it would be greatly appreciated. You can fill out the survey below!

Anyways, we will be back next Monday at 9pm with A.Sherrod Blakely from Comcast Sports Net. You can guarantee that we will be back and we will be better than ever, as long as Nick isn’t still hungover from vacation.

As promised at the end of the season, we are working very hard at CLNS to bring you the best guests out there. Shaughnessy, who is looked upon as one of the top writers in the Boston area, will just add to the list of fantastic guest we have already had on the show.

Get your questions in for NBA’er Maurice Ager

July 6, 2010

This summer we have been busy trying to schedule top notch guest for our listeners of the Celtics Late Night Show. So far we have two guests confirmed for the month of July, both from the Maine Red Claws.

The first is former Michigan State Spartan and New Jersey Nets guard, and current Maine Red Claws guard, Maurice Ager. Ager will be joining us on July 12th, this coming Monday. He will be discussing his future plans, the Red Claws organization, and his newly established production company Ager Music.

As always we want to get Celtics nation involved with this edition of the show. With that being said we are going to open up Brandon and Nick’s Mailbag for your questions. Have you ever wondered what life is like as an NBA player? Have you wondered about the differences between the NBA and NBDL? Well this is your time to ask question like these to a guy who has played at all levels. Send in your questions by clicking the link here.

We hope you enjoy the show on Monday and look forward to having you join us for future shows!

Check Out Nick & Scotty on Gang Green’s 100th Episode Celebration

June 17, 2010

I joined John Karalis, Justin Poulin, Jon Duke and Mike Munger (A.K.A. the Scotsmen) as the guest for Gang Green TV’s 100th episode celebration. We discussed the Celtics/Lakers series, officiating and the 2-3-2 finals format. We also had a lot of laughs. The Scotsmen gave a very special gift to the Gang Green guy’s (I’m jealous).
This was a really cool experience and we, at CLNS, want to send a sincere congratulations to the boy’s at Gang Green for 100 amazing episodes.

Nick Appears on Don Best TV to Talk EC Finals

May 17, 2010

Pat Williams was brave enough to again invite me back to Don Best TV. Seeing that since I first appeared on the show, the Celtics are 3-0, I felt obligated to oblige.

Enjoy!

Nick Joins Don Best TV To Discuss Celtics/Cavs Series

May 11, 2010

Great stuff from Don Best TV. Pat Williams was  brave enough to let me steal the mic for a few minutes today. We talked the Celtics/Cavs series.

PS… I meant game 4 (Sheed defensive effort), not game 3 (ouch)

Enjoy!

Nick Hits the Road!

March 28, 2010

It’s 7:30 am and I am on my way to Boston for the Spurs/Celtics game. No traffic yet. I’ve been on the road for a half hour and I already have to stop to use the restroom– typical.

Stay tuned to North Station Sports for more updates…
